George Abie Williams - Wealth Management Executive in Radford VA

George Abie Williams built a distinguished career in wealth management while remaining closely connected to Radford, VA. He earned a BS in accounting from Virginia Tech before entering the investment securities business in 1981. Over the years, George Abie Williams moved into senior roles within the industry and now serves as senior vice president of investment at Stifel Nicolaus in Radford, VA, where he advises clients on financial planning and investment matters.

Across his career, George Abie Williams received industry recognition that included selection as one of 10 outstanding brokers by Registered Rep Magazine in 2001 and listing among the top 50 wealth advisors in Virginia by Virginia Business Magazine in 2007 and 2008. His community involvement includes leadership roles with civic and educational groups, such as past president of the Radford Host Lions Club, former chairman of the Radford Industrial Development Authority, president of the Radford University Athletic Foundation Board, and trustee at Piedmont International University. He has also supported colleges and institutions through endowed scholarships and participates in Calvary Baptist Church as an ordained deacon and Sunday school teacher.

Outside work, Mr. Williams has maintained long-running interests in athletics and youth sports. He played football, basketball, and tennis in high school and later coached his three sons (Abram, Alden, and Harrison) through Radford Recreation Youth leagues. He and his wife, Debbie, have also been involved in community development through real estate ownership and rehabilitation projects, including subdivision development and restoration efforts within Radford’s business district.
